Washington DC
The White House The trip to Washington occured between November 26, 2003 and November 30,2003. Despite the appearances in the pictures, it was cold and nasty. We walked around the White House and took some beautiful pictures and then went to get something to eat. We found a resturaunt that served seafood and stopped there. They had the best oysters I have ever eaten, I think they were called Blue Point Oysters, the only oysters to even come close were in Hong Kong.

The next day we visited the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the

Korean War Memorial, the Monument to Roosevelt and the Thomas Jefferson Monument in the morning. We then ate lunch and visited Capital Hill, the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court.

The Lincoln MemorialOn the third day, we visited the Pentagon and then Arlington National Cemetery and watched the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, it was very impressive! From there we went to eat at another seafood resturaunt. This time the seafood made me sick and we had to retire for the day. From one extreme to another. :-)

On the last day, we tried to visit the Visitor Center but it was closed so we proceeded to China Town and then to the International Spy Museum, it was very interesting. After that we went to the National Archives and the Museum of Natural History. Lastly, we tried to visit the Naval Yard but it was so windy that we decided it was not worth the effort.

The next day we came home.
